Our Philosophy

We believe meaningful change begins when people feel genuinely seen, heard, and understood. At L & C Therapy, we take the time to understand each client's story, strengths, challenges, and goals so that therapy reflects the person—not simply the problem that brought them through our doors.

Therapy is a Relationship

The relationship between a client and therapist is at the heart of meaningful therapy. We strive to create a space where clients can be genuine, ask questions, laugh, struggle, make mistakes, and explore difficult things without judgment.

We believe our job is not to have all the answers or tell you how to live your life. It's to listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, offer new perspectives and practical tools, and work alongside you toward the changes that matter to you.

We Believe Change is Possible

People often come to therapy during some of the most difficult periods of their lives. While we don't minimize those challenges or promise easy answers, we believe there is always room for hope, growth, and something different.

Sometimes progress means making a significant change. Other times, it means understanding yourself more clearly, responding differently to a difficult situation, or simply recognizing how far you've already come.

There is no One Right Way to do Therapy

Every person brings different experiences, strengths, relationships, and needs into therapy. Evidence-based practices provide an important foundation for our work, but effective therapy also requires curiosity, flexibility, and a willingness to adjust when something isn't working.

We meet clients where they are and thoughtfully adapt our approach as their needs evolve.

How We Lead Matters, Too

We believe the way we treat one another as a team influences the care we provide our clients. Our therapists regularly collaborate, consult on cases, and learn from one another, allowing each clinician, and ultimately each client, to benefit from the collective experience and perspective of our clinical team.

We strive to create the same environment within our practice that we want our therapists to create with clients: one built on trust, authenticity, curiosity, support, and a willingness to grow.

Be genuine. Offer hope. Stay curious. Make room for humor. Be present. Keep growing.

Finding the right therapist matters. We're here to answer your questions, learn more about what you're looking for, and help determine whether L & C Therapy is the right fit for you or your family.
